What is Wellness Coaching?

Wellness coaches are trained to help clients develop and implement personal wellness plans by:

  • accepting and meeting us where we are today
  • asking us to take charge
  • guiding us in doing the mindful thinking and doing work that builds confidence
  • addressing mental and physical health together
  • helping us draw a personal wellness blueprint
  • helping us set realistic goals; small victories lay the foundation for self-efficacy
  • harnessing the strengths we need to overcome our obstacles
  • helping us view obstacles as opportunities to learn and grow

Here's how the coaching process works.

Assessment

Ready to get started?  I’ll send you a link to complete a private, confidential well-being assessment. This assessment will be completed on your own and covers seven areas of wellness. This provides me, as your coach, with valuable information and feedback in order to determine your priorities, concerns, medical issues and overall current state of wellbeing. This is the platform that will launch us into the Jumpstart session.

Discovery Coaching Session

Discovery coaching sessions are conducted in person or via conference call.

During the first 75-90 minute Discovery coaching session, we’ll review your wellbeing assessment. We’ll aim to identify and explore your motivators, strengths, needs, and priorities to develop a unique personal wellness plan including a vision, three month goals and the first weekly behavioral steps.

Discovery coaching sessions are required to set the foundation for all future coaching sessions.

Follow Up Sessions

Weekly coaching sessions are conducted in person or via conference call.

In subsequent 45-55 minute weekly coaching sessions, we’ll review progress toward your wellness vision and goals, and continue to explore successes, insights and challenges. As your coach, I’ll offer support and accountability and we’ll continue to collaborate as we identify and set new goals during each weekly session.
